Google Webmaster Tools

Setting up Google Webmaster Tools is very easy, and it will open up a mine of information for you about your website.

The easiest way to set it up  is as follows.

  • Log in to your Google account (create one if you don’t have one).
  • Navigate to the following URL:
  • Click the ‘Add Site’ button and enter your URL.
  • Then get the html file provided by Google.
  • Upload a file to the root of your website and you are good to go!

The type of resources available to you within Webmaster Central includes

  • The impressions and search query keywords which your site receives.
  • Various possible errors with your site and HTML suggestions
  • Inbound links to your site
  • Configuration of how your site may appear in search results
  • Site load-speed and performance
  • Site update notifications (for WordPress and other major CMS)
