Ok, so I’m setting up my new site. I’ve gone for WordPress, and I’ve decided to go live at an early stage. So apologies for any inconvenience as it takes shape. I’ve used various systems before as a developer for clients, including Joomla, CMS Made Simple, Blogger etc. I like WordPress, and I really like the theme I’ve opted for – it has cost me some cash but it fits my brief, is well coded and I’m going to be doing some bespoke customisations to suit my needs. (credits to solostream for the original theme). So this is kind of a busman’s holiday for me. ps: The picture here is me with my 3rd child Ralph at Alnmouth beach.
Why use WordPress as a basis for a web site as opposed to using html or dreamweaver etc………??
Just a question
WordPress is free and very easy for non-technical users to add content to their site without worrying about layout and design elements. The output from WordPress is still html of course!
Peter, we would have to agree…
…we are noticing more and more individuals/companies setting up websites using WordPress where they wouldn’t be able to otherwise. Enabling people with very limited knowledge in design code etc. to have a web based presence can only be a good thing.
P.S. we came across your site and think the content and information is very helpful, thanks.
