A five page brochure site had a number of broken links to images, and the formatting was not cross-browser compatible. These issues were fixed extremely quickly using available images and existing code. The site remained with the existing hosting provider.
This site was a self-administered site. It had all of the features of an amateur site. Text was randomly formatted and images badly aligned. Additionally the editor supplied by the service provider and host was generating awful code and the site was almost invisible to search-engines. Having gathered the requirements it became clear that the client needed some guidance with editing his content. It also became clear that an alternate cms was needed. Bespoke customisations were written for a open-source cms. This allowed the client to edit property details like price, facilities, details and availability. Search functionality was added allowing visitors to find properties by their own criteria. URL's were now search engine friendly. The site was relocated to a new server. Search engines found the site and indexed it deeply. Traffic and enquiries are reported to be significantly increased.
